History

The Sunnyside Community Association was established in 1955 when developer James Cornell built and incorporated homes on Sunnyside Ridge Road.  Currently, the Association has a membership of more than 50 families who own homes on Sunnyside Ridge, Sol Vista and Palos Verdes Drive East.

Memberships

Image on the leftMemberships cost $75 per year and are required of those owners of tracts 1-50 on Sunnyside Ridge (these requirements are outlined in the association governance documents).  Social memberships are extended to those nearby residents who wish to participate in meetings and activities for a cost of $75 per year.

The Sunnyside Community Association is committed to properly maintaining the entrance and neighborhood, in addition to ensuring the well-being of all residents through emergency preparedness and networking activities.

Unlike many other residential streets on the peninsula, Sunnyside Ridge is not a private road. Because early homeowners granted the right-of-way for the street to the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, street maintenance is funded and coordinated by the City.
